Frequently asked questions
Answers on the GetCarAuctionSites offer: what is included, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, hosting, domains, moving your current site and billing.
The offer
What do I actually get for the monthly fee?
A custom-coded website for your auction house: a run list page for every vehicle, lane and sale-day pages, a condition report layout, buyer registration connected to your CRM, managed hosting, weekly run list updates and researched articles. Run List covers the site itself; Condition Report adds the AI Engine; Full Consignment adds the Content Engine. Every plan carries the same one-time build fee, invoiced only after your site is live and approved.
How long until my site is live?
Launch takes 7, 10 or 15 working days depending on tier, starting after your onboarding call. The build fee is invoiced only once you have approved the finished site, never at signup.
Do you grade vehicles or set reserve prices?
No. We build the page and layout your condition report lives on, but the grading, inspection, reserve price and any valuation come from your team or an inspection service you already use. We are not a licensed auctioneer, dealer or vehicle inspector.
Is the site guaranteed to be fast?
Yes, every plan guarantees a 90+ Google PageSpeed score on mobile and desktop, maintained as an ongoing standard because pages are custom coded rather than built on a page builder or template platform.
Getting started
What happens on the onboarding call?
One call to walk through your lanes, sale formats, current run list and any existing branding, so we can plan the site structure before building starts. It typically runs under an hour.
Who provides the vehicle photos and condition notes?
You or your inspection team provide the photos and condition details, since that judgment has to come from someone who has looked at the vehicle. We build the layout, fields and page those details display on.
Do I get access to a portal after launch?
Yes. Every client gets a portal on the day the site goes live, used to request revisions, raise support tickets, send files and message the team, all from one place.
Revisions and the client portal
How do revisions work?
5 revisions are included every month with no size limit per revision, from a single status change to a full run list refresh. Additional revisions are a flat $20 each, with no hourly billing, completed within 2 to 5 working days.
Do unused revisions carry over to the next month?
No, unused revisions do not roll over. The monthly count resets, which keeps the plan simple to track rather than accumulating a balance to manage.
How do I submit a revision request?
Through your client portal, available the day your site goes live. Requests are tracked there alongside support tickets and any files you send us.
Articles
What do the weekly articles cover?
Researched articles covering questions buyers and consignors search before they search your name: what a title-status flag means, how a buy fee works, how an arbitration window functions, what a dealer-only lane requires. Tiers 1 and 2 include 2 a week; tier 3 includes 3 a week at 2,500 to 3,200 words each.
Can I request specific article topics?
Yes, topic requests go through your client portal like any other revision. We also propose topics based on upcoming sales and common buyer questions in your sale formats.
Are the articles cited or fact-checked?
Yes, every article cites its sources, and no statistic appears without one. We do not publish invented figures or present a grading scale as an industry standard.
The AI Engine
What does the AI Engine actually do?
Included on Condition Report and Full Consignment, it answers routine questions through site chat, SMS, Messenger and Instagram at any hour: sale times, registration requirements, general lane information. Anything specific to a vehicle's condition, value or title status is handed off to your team rather than answered by the assistant.
Is A2P 10DLC carrier filing for SMS included?
Yes, it is handled as part of setup on any plan that includes the AI Engine, so SMS messaging is compliant from launch rather than something you have to file separately.
Can I review what the AI Engine answered?
Yes, every conversation is available through a call-analysis PDF, so nothing handled overnight or off-hours is invisible to your team the next morning.
Hosting and management
What does managed hosting include?
Cloudflare hosting with SSL, a global CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth, all included in the monthly fee with nothing itemized separately.
What happens if the site goes down?
Hosting runs on Cloudflare's global network, built for high availability, and our team monitors the site as part of the managed plan. Issues are addressed as part of your ongoing service, not billed as emergency work.
Domains
Is a domain included?
Yes, one domain is registered in your name for as long as your plan stays active, or we point an existing domain you already own at no extra charge.
What happens to the domain if I cancel?
A domain registered in your name stays yours; you retain control of it after cancellation. If we pointed an existing domain you owned, nothing changes on your end.
Moving from your current site
I already have a website. What happens to it?
We review your current site during onboarding, migrate what is worth keeping, and set up redirects from old URLs to their new equivalents, so a bookmarked run list link or an indexed page is not lost in the move.
Billing and cancellation
When is the build fee charged?
The $697 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you have confirmed you are satisfied with it. It is never charged at signup.
What is your cancellation policy?
Email us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours (9:00 to 17:00 Central, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays), and no further invoice is raised. A weekend email does not count toward the 2 business days for a Monday or Tuesday invoice.
Are payments refundable?
All sales are final except a duplicate or incorrect charge reported within 30 days. The build fee is refundable only before build work starts; the monthly fee for the current billing period is non-refundable once charged.
